We need so many things to to run the refuge so if you would like to help us by donating , thank you. Here is a list of some of the things that are needed on a daily basis:

Food

We feed our dogs complete nutrition dried food but we also use tinned dog food and sausages to help us to get the dogs to take their pills and medicines. It costs, on average, 6€ a month to feed one dog.

Medical & veterinary supplies

Gauze, antiseptic solution (betadine, peroxide), bandages, tape and dressings are needed. Also flea and tick collars, worming treatment and vaccines. It costs between 50€ (male) and 90€ (female) to sterilise (castrate) a dog.

Items for day-to-day use at the refuge

The cost of cleaning equipment, collars and leads and maintenance at the refuge is approximately 46€ per month. The refuge also uses old blankets and sheets for bedding and sun shields in the summer. If you have anything suitable it can be donated by contacting us on refuge@protectoraderute.org
