Nuestro comienzo

     Gpar, como otras tantas protectoras
de animales, nace ante la pasividad la población de Rute (Córdoba-España)  ante la situación de
los perros abandonados, para intentar darles una vida mejor y, sobre todo
encontrarles una familia definitiva.

     En nuestros inicios éramos personas individuales que rescátabamos perros y gatos de la calle y los recuperábamos en nuestras casas. Los gastos eran nuestros, particulares. Esto sucedía aproximadamente en el año 2005 y 2006. Una compañera, María, que por aquel entonces también hacía lo mismo propuso reunirnos y tomar decisiones para constituirnos. Nuestra primera reunión ocurrió noviembre de 2007. Se realizó en el Bar Avenida. Y por fin ya en julio del 2008 nos constituimos en El Grupo de Protección Animal de Rute. Previamente barajamos varios nombres hasta decidirnos por este, GPAR (GRUPO DE PROTECCIÓN ANIMAL DE RUTE).

     El logo se consiguió gracias a un concurso que realizamos en el colegio de primaria llamado Ruperto Fernandez. Una alumna ganó el premio y desde entonces nuestro logo nos acompaña  en cada momento.

     Gpar es la unión de personas amantes de los animales que no querían seguir mirando
hacia otro lado.

     En los comienzos, hemos pasado muchas
necesidades, no teníamos refugio, las casas de acogida saturadas y muy poca
gente que nos ayudase.

     Después de  un año de intenso trabajo, conseguimos alquilar un refugio adecuado para nuestros pequeños, también
estábamos  consiguiendo una labor de concienciación ciudadana.

     Después de muchas reuniones con el concejal de Medio Ambiente de nuestro Ayuntamiento, José Macías, conseguimos que gracias a esta persona y a nuestra insistencia nos cedieran un terreno municipal donde poder ubicar nuestro refugio sin tener que pagar alquiler mensual. Hoy en día estamos en este refugio. 

     Aún así, sigue habiendo muchísimos
casos de perros en la calle y desatendidos que necesitan de nuestra ayuda, por
lo que toda ayuda es poca.

     Gpar, like many other animal protectors, the population of Rute is born to passivity in the face of abandoned dogs, to try to give them a better life and, above all, to find them a definitive family.

     In our beginnings we were individual people who rescued dogs and cats from the street and recovered them in our homes. The expenses were ours, private. This happened approximately in 2005 and 2006. A colleague, María, who at that time also did the same, proposed to meet and make decisions to establish ourselves. Previously we shuffled several names until we decided on this, GPAR (RUTE ANIMAL PROTECTION GROUP).

     The logo was achieved thanks to a contest we held at the elementary school called Ruperto Fernandez. A student won the award and since then our logo accompanies us at all times.

     Gpar is the union of animal-loving people who didn't want to keep looking the other way.

     In the beginning, we have passed many needs, we had no shelter, saturated shelters and very few people to help us.

     After a year of intense work, we managed to rent a suitable shelter for our little ones, we were also getting a citizen awareness work.

    After many meetings with the Councilor for the Environment of our City Council, José Macías, we got that thanks to this person and our insistence we were given a municipal land where we can locate our refuge without paying monthly rent. Today we are in this shelter.

Even so, there are still many cases of dogs in the street and neglected that need our help, so all help is little.
